Melinda T. Arndt is a Board Certified Music Therapist and graduate of Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, PA. with a B.S. in Music Education.  She has worked with special needs clients for over 25 years, including those with Autism, Rett Syndrome, cognitive disabilities, Alzheimers/dementia, psychiatric diagnoses, terminal illness, comatose state, developmentally disabled, stroke/rehab. needs, and others.

Individual music therapy sessions are held weekly in a variety of settings.  3rd party billing is not available, but rates are very affordable.  

Mindy is also a registered Music Together® specialist, and is pleased to now offer Music Together®  Preschool programming in Mooresville, NC.  Central United Methodist Preschool www.cumcmooresville.com is qualified to provide the licensed Music Together® Preschool program developed by the Center for Music and Young Children® and has demonstrated a commitment to include music as an essential part of the school's core curriculum. In the Fall of 2011, Mindy launched the first Music Together Within Therapy® program in the Charlotte and Lake Norman area. Designed and led by a Board-Certified Music Therapist,  these Parent-Child small groups  provide an opportunity for families to learn and explore in a musical setting, addressing identified developmental needs using the repertoire of the Music Together program.  For more information on these Music Together® parent-child therapeutic classes, please click here.

Alongside her music therapy practice and Music Together classes, Mindy maintains a private teaching studio, directs her church's children's choirs and handbell choirs, accompanies church and school choirs and plays for weddings, funerals and special events.  If you are interested in private piano or flute lessons, or if you would like to inquire about special performances, please click here.
